An open kitchen with room for company
The project came to us through a client referral. The owners were ready for an updated kitchen that suited the way they cooked and entertained.
Removing a wall opened up the room and made space for the new layout. With seating along one side of the island, there’s a place to pull up a stool and stay part of the conversation while someone cooks.
Matching the existing wood floor
The wood flooring on the rest of the main floor was no longer being manufactured. To complete the kitchen, we worked with our custom shop to have matching flooring made.
That match matters when a remodel opens into rooms you’re keeping. Here, the wood floor continues around the island and into the adjoining spaces, helping the new kitchen feel like part of the home from the start.
Custom cabinets, quartz and a built-in hood
Painted enamel cabinets give the kitchen a soft, understated look. Quartz countertops add movement and contrast, and the built-in hood gives the cooking wall a clear focal point.
The refrigerator, wall ovens and storage fit into a coordinated cabinet wall, with glass-front cabinets above. The sink sits beneath a wide window. Together with the island, those details make a kitchen with places to work, store what’s needed and welcome company.
